Cruisin'

Wellllll, just days ago I disembarked the Carnival Pride after a glorious seven day trip. My fellow passengers and I set sail on Oct 16th down to the Mexican Riverera -- it was wonderful, warm and something that I needed. Oh, did I mention that I was attending the African American Book Club Summit at Sea???? Yes, yes, surrounded by authors who gave insight into their processes and pet-peeves... it was very enlightning. I hung out w/Bernice McFadden and her daughter R'yane who is just shy of her 18th birthday. She will be going off to college next year and I asked Bernice what it was she had planned for herself in 2006 since she would be an empty nester. She said she planned on seeing more of the world -- a woman after my own heart! We have promised to keep in touch and maybe take a few trips together.

Anyway, I have developed a new appreciation for Margarita's and golden sand. I was very impressed w/Cabo San Lucas -- in fact the night before our arrival there I dreamed of hundreds of shooting stars and what greeted me on the dark morning of our arrival -- yep! a shooting star!
I liked the vibe of Cabo so much that I've already started investigating the realestate market. :)
